BIO-INTEL-MOB is an EU-funded project that aims to transform peri-urban mobility, logistics, and governance into a climate-neutral, data-driven, and citizen-centric system.
By integrating a Mobility Data Space, AI analytics, Digital Twins, Peri-Urban Mobility Hubs, green-safe routing, and circular logistics solutions, the project develops smarter and more sustainable mobility services for both people and goods.
BIO-INTEL-MOB also introduces new tools for participatory governance, including a citizen-engagement app, VR/AR interfaces, and a Knowledge Hub that supports local authorities in planning, replicating, and scaling innovative mobility solutions across Europe.
The project works to:
– Improve multimodal mobility and accessibility
– Enhance safety and inclusiveness for all users
– Reduce emissions through intelligent routing and green logistics
– Empower cities with data-driven, citizen-focused decision-making.
Adapting mobility solutions to disrupted urban systems and low-data environments
Kyiv brings a critical perspective to BIO-INTEL-MOB, addressing how mobility systems can function and evolve in a context affected by ongoing conflict. Damage to infrastructure, disruptions in transport services, and limitations in data availability have reshaped how mobility is organised and experienced across the city.
Within this context, the pilot focuses on how mobility solutions can be adapted to conditions where systems are partially disrupted and continuously evolving. Kyiv contributes to understanding how cities can plan, operate, and improve mobility under uncertainty and constraint. The pilot combines data-driven tools, simulation models, and participatory approaches to support more informed and inclusive decision-making.
